Description:
In aquaculture the cost of fish feed can account for up to 60 % of total production costs. Therefore, unsuitable feed and/or inappropriate feeding management can have serious impact on farmers' profits. EFISHENT aimed to fine-tune the composition of fish feed and feeding strategy to improve the cost efficiency of European seabass production. Work involved understanding the needs of seabass according to its life stages and environmental and physiological conditions.
