Autogenous Vaccines
Constantina (Dida) Kokkari has been a research technician at HCMR since 1996, involved in several European and National research projects. She has considerable expertise in the determination of molecular, biochemical, hormonal and immunological parameters in plasma and tissues of marine fish species, by the use of PCR, RIA, ELISA, TLC, HPLC and GS methods and techniques. For the last ten years, she has worked on the identification of parasites and bacteria using classical microbiological and molecular techniques. Besides she has also worked on the study of bacteriophages as a preventive/therapeutic innovative approach against pathogenic fish bacteria and in the development of autogenous vaccines. C. Kokkari is a co-founder of "Aquatic Biologicals", a spin-off company of HCMR.
