Dr Eva Chatzinikolaou is a post-doctoral researcher in the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research - Institute of Marine Biology, Biotechnology and Aquaculture. Her research focus on climate change, ocean acidification, micro-CT tomography, marine biodiversity and intertidal ecology. During her PhD she studied population dynamics, ageing, reproduction, development and marine pollution in gastropods. She is currently investigating the effects of climate change and ocean acidification on marine gastropods using experimental treatments and micro-CT tomography, after being awarded with a postdoc funding (ELIDEK, HFRI; 2018-2021). Her research has been also funded by the Latsis Foundation (2014) and the ASSEMBLE Programme (2012, 2013). Published >40 scientific articles and book chapters; participated in several conferences. Guest editor in BDJ; reviewer in 15 journals; expert evaluator in EU proposals. She has wide experience on the management and implementation of international and national projects (leader in 6, participant in 15). She is the scientific coordinator of the ERFI RI LifewatchGreece and the National representative in LifeWatch ERIC. Has also participated in the production of educational material for environmental education and has supervised several MSc and BSc students.
