Nellie received her degree in Informatics from the Ionian University in 2017, and two years later her M.Sc. degree in Bioinformatics from the University of Crete. Her interests are tool and algorithm development for biological studies, machine learning and automation in general. She is currently working as a Bioinformatics engineer for HCMR, developing automated, containerized pipelines for analyzing genome and transcriptome data in HPC environments.
