Description:
A sampling campaign using the vessel FILIA was organised within the Port of Heraklion for the collection of sediment samples which were analysed regarding sedimentology, chemical parameters and pollutants (heavy metals, hydrocarbons, phenols, organic carbon, pH, conductivity, alkalinity, etc). The results of this study served as a reference evaluation survey necessary for the implementation of future dredging activities within the port area and the management of the removed core sediment samples.
