Dr. Anastasios Oulas (PhD) is an associate scientist in the bioinformatics department at the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING). He has a BSc in Molecular Genetics form Sussex University (UK), and an MSc in Computational Genetics and Bioinformatics from Imperial College (UK). His PhD was attained from the Foundation of Research and Technology, Hellas (FORTH) in Crete, Greece, where he conducted research in the field of computational prediction of molecular biomarkers in cancer. He has extensive postdoctoral experience including positions held at the Bioinformatics laboratory of the Division of Medicine and the RNA laboratory, both affiliated with the University of Crete. He furthermore took up a position as a senior postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Marine Biology, Biotechnology and Aquaculture (IMBBC), Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR) before moving to his current position in Cyprus.
