Research activities focusing on the development and evaluation of technologies and products, management and control processes in aquaculture, plant design and the development of new production processes. Participation in the implementation of projects related to the development of automation and management systems in integrated production units, infrastructures & tools that supports aquaculture activities, use of wind & solar energy in aquaculture, continuous cultivation of micro-algae cultivation in PBR, market studies for aquaculture, technology transfer and the development of aquaculture technologies for high seas at offshore sites, focusing on adaptation of aquaculture sector to climate change. Responsible for the operation of the floating pilot fish farming unit of IMBBC in Ormos Soudas since 2000 and of research hatcheries at facilities of IMBC/HCMR in Crete since 1993 Responsible for the implementation of contracts for the supply of aquaculture products and services of IMBC/HCMR to private companies and implementation infrastructure development projects since 1992.
