Maria Mastoraki is a biologist and holds a Master’s degree in Hydrobiogy and Aquaculture awarded by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Greece. Her interest lies in sustainable aquafeeds and her research aims at evaluating innovative feed ingredients considering the physiology and welfare of the farmed species and the nutritional value of the final product. She has been involved in projects investigating nutritional requirements, feed attractants, various alternative feed ingredients and feed supplementation. Currently, Maria is a PhD candidate (AUTH) and her dissertation is focused on the effect of dietary insect larvae meals on fish and decapod crustacean physiology.
