Dr. Morgane Henry has a long experience in the immunology of various fish and shellfish species. She acquired her PhD from the University of Aberdeen (Scotland, UK) studying antibacterial peptides in rainbow trout. After a post-doc in human allergies at King's College (London, UK), she joined HCMR (Athens, Greece) in 2000. She has participated in many EU and national projects studying the effect of nutrition (insects, immunostimulants, probiotics, minerals, fishmeal and fish oil replacement...), stress or pollution on the fish immune system and on the fish resistance to diseases. She also has studied the effects of diseases commonly affecting Mediterranean aquaculture fish species on their immune system. In recent years, she has been involved in many projects investigating the use of dietary insects as fishmeal and/or fish oil replacement and their effects of fish health.
