Mrs Vasso Terzoglou is working at IMBBC-HCMR as a scientific research technician. She has been involved in population genetics studies utilizing molecular markers i.e. RFLPs, microsatellites, mitochondrial DNA, allozymes etc. She has gained extensive experience in a variety of applications in molecular biology such as DNA and RNA extraction, PCR, cloning, genotyping, cDNA library construction, sequencing and sequences analysis. She has also been trained in the next generation sequencing technology (454-GSFLX, Junior, Roche, and MiSeq, Illumina). Parallel to her laboratory work she introduces undergraduate and postgraduate students to the use of molecular biology techniques and is following their progress.
