Ocean Literacy, Conservation, Biodiversity
A young researcher that is exploring the topic of Ocean Literacy and ways it can assist in conservation efforts for marine coastal areas. After finishing my degree in Biology (AUTH), I voluntereed in a Marine Protected Area in Italy, where I learnt about the importance of communication of the scientific efforts and the signficance of the marine environment. Later I pursued and graduated IMBRSea, an international MSc degree on Marine Biology, that gave me the chance to travel around Europe, equip my toolkit and focus more in areas of my interests. My thesis took place in HCMR under the framework of BlueLightS with topic: Integrating Ocean Literacy in conservation of marine coastal areas: the case study of Elounda bay.
Currently i am working In the Horizon EU funded project BlueLightS, which focuses in the integration of Blue education in european schools.
