Antigoni Vasilaki has more than 14 years of experience as Technical Scientific Personnel at HCMR. She has applied various methodologies, including gas and liquid chromatography, for the chemical/ biochemical characterization of fish feed, fish tissue samples etc. She is also well experienced in fish rearing and feed production with extrusion. Main field of experience includes fish nutrition and specifically fishmeal and fish oil replacement/supplementation with alternative raw materials. In particular, she has participated in various EU, national and industry-funded projects which were related to the inclusion of plant based or novel raw ingredients in fish diets and their impacts on growth performance and feeds digestibility in Mediterranean aquaculture fish species as well as different approaches to compensate for their negative impacts. Ms Antigoni Vasilaki has published 9 articles in SCI journals and has presented her work in several conferences.
