Fish Pathology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Genomics
I am interested in aquaculture diseases and how antibiotic adaptation affects bacterial pathogens. I have recently completed my PhD at University of Crete, under the supervision of dr. Pantelis Katharios. My research project was about microbial evolution and the metabolic cost of antibiotic resistance. My research was about an evolutionary adaptation model with bacterial fish pathogens and antibiotics used in the Mediterranean aquaculture. Our objective is the study of the genetic and environmental factors affecting the bacteria causing fish diseases.
