Adriana Triga

I am a PhD student of University of Crete, currently conducting my thesis under the supervision of Pantelis Katharios. In our lab we are interested in aquaculture diseases and antibiotic adaptation of bacterial pathogens. My research project is about microbial evolution and the metabolic cost of antibiotic resistance. We have created an evolutionary adaptation model with bacterial fish pathogens and antibiotics used in the Mediterranean aquaculture. Our objective is the study of the genetic and environmental factors affecting the bacteria causing fish diseases.
