My research field may be summarized in
1) Nutritional requirements in ω3 and ω6 essential fatty acids,
2) Evaluation of the nutritional quality of raw materials as potential ingredients in marine diets,
3) Fish meal and fish oil substitution with sustainable raw materials in feeds for cultured fish
4) Effects of plant raw materials and feeds on digestion physiology - digestive enzymes.
All these years I worked close with the aquaculture industry in the frame work of various projects (EU, National, etc) trying to solve problems related to nutrition and feeding. I have developed various methods of analysis for the Applied nutrition lab and recently I am responsible for the application of the 17025/2017 accreditation standard.
